After obtaining his diploma
under P.Rispoli in Venice, he was awarded the diploma of honour at
the Academy Chigiana of Siena, where his professors were S.Lorenzi
(chamber music) and S.Gazzeloni (flute), continuing with further
study in France under R.Bourdin and in Rome under K.Klemm and Gerardo
Levy.
Winner of orchestra auditions at La Fenice of Venice, the RAI
Symphony Orchestre of Rome and the Orchestras of San Remo and
Bolzano, he also won as soloist several flute competitions, including
the "Cilea" prize, the "Briccialdi di Terni", and the "Premio
Internazionale di Trapani Musica da camera".
Professor of flute from 1974 to 1993 at the conservatories of Padua
and Vicenza, he has taught master classes all over Italy as well
Turkey and Taiwan.
As soloist, he has an active career and has played in the major
Italian cities (Milan, Venice, Rome, Florence, etc.), Germany,
France, Switzerland, Japan, Brazil, Turkey, Taiwan and U.S.A.
Recently he has begun condicting operas and chamber music.
He records "Sipario Dischi" of Milano, "Rivoalto" of Venice and
prepares flute editions for "Zanibon Edizioni" of Padova.
